What "no broker markup" actually means here

Booking a specific carrier's truck off the board works differently, and it's stated plainly before you commit: that fee is the carrier's own, anywhere from 0% to 25%, set by them and paid to them. You see it before you agree to it. What you don't get is a margin quietly taken out somewhere between your rate and the driver's.
Knowing the truck that shows up is real
Every carrier is checked against federal records before they can book: active operating authority, out-of-service status, liability and cargo insurance on file, safety rating and crash history. The person behind the account is identity-verified separately — both checks, not either one.
